Player registration

To join, please complete the following:

  1. Fill out the Player and Contact Information registration form below.

  2. Register/CIPP with USA Rugby

  3. Email a copy of a photo ID (driver's license, passport, school ID, etc.) and health insurance card to*

  4. Return completed USA Rugby forms to coach.*

  5. Submit player dues to the team treasurer.

  6. Read the Eligibility Regulations

Gear requirements

  • Rugby shorts

  • Mouthguard (basic, not football ones)

  • Rugby (or soccer) boots/cleats (not football ones with the front toe spike)

  • Long socks

  • Sunblock

  • Water bottle

And a superb attitude to take on anything that comes your way!

COVID-19 requirements

Rugby is a high-contact sport, so we are requiring player vaccination in order to keep our teammates and community safe. All players need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 vaccine to practice and play with the Mermaids. Vaccine information for Santa Barbara can be found here. Please contact us with questions; we will gladly help anyone navigate the vaccination process so that they can play with us!
